My first month as MRT

Wow. I am Miss Rodeo Tennessee! What an honor to represent the State of Tennessee! I would like to thank everyone who is helping me on my journey to vie for the prestigious title of Miss Rodeo America....with hopes of becoming the first ever to hold that title from Tennessee! Thank you to; The Franklin Rotary International - Greg Hensley at Dan Post Boots - Bunk House Leather - Mary Kay Cosmetics - Air Specialists of Middle Tennessee- The Cowboy Store of Franklin - Montana Silver and The Franklin Rodeo for their support! Thank you as well to William Rosen for my pictures! A special thank you to Kelly and Manny Azevedo. I'm not sure how I could do all this without their help! I will keep ya'll updated on my sponsors. Financial support is important and needed. Please know I appreciate each and everyone who is helping!

I had no idea how much work goes into being "Miss Rodeo Tennessee" but I'm having a blast! It all started with Franklin Rodeo, where I was crowned. The Franklin Noon Rotary Club out did themselves putting on this PRCA rodeo. Stock contractor Sparky Dreesen with J Bar J, from Montana provided great stock and Ed Lepper, from Georgia brought the high buckin' bulls!

Then on to practicing speeches, how to walk and ride pretty (I ride rodeo, walking and riding like a queen is a challenge!) clothing fittings, and curling this massive amount of hair! LOL! In short, I'm learning to look and act like a girl!

Next stop was the Tennessee High School Rodeo Finals in Cookville, TN. I was joined there by Miss Rodeo Teen Tennessee, Lauren Burner(Who I adore). We had the honor of crowning the 2010 Miss High School Rodeo, Aubrey Hodges. Then it was on to Dickson for more fun! Thank you to Mrs. Kelley Shattuck for the use of her horse! The stock contractor 4L Rodeo Company, out of Georgia, brought out great stock. I had a little free time before and after the performances to practice up on my ropin' and bounce to the heavens! The fans were very enthusiastic and I remembered again, how blessed I am to be a part of this sport. If you would like to see pictures from these events and get even more info, please check out the Miss Rode Tennessee web sight at www.mrtnpageant.com

Next up is Greeley, Colorado followed by the PRCA Rodeo in Savannah, Tennessee - then Pikes Peek or Bust, the Pro Rodeo Cowboy Hall of Fame induction ceremony in Colorado Springs, followed by the Miss Rodeo America clinic...all in Colorado. Then off to Cheyenne Frontier Days! I will do my best to keep everyone updated on my adventures!
